Dr. Elizabeth Asante
Senior Research Fellow

Dr E.A Asante is a Research Fellow at ISSER. She brings to projects her research and analytical skills as a Sociologist. Dr. Asante has a BA in Sociology from the University of Ghana, an MSc in Sociology from the LSE, University of London, an MA from Queens’s University, Canada and a PhD from York University, Toronto Canada. As a Sociologist, her research interests are extensive. Dr. Asante has carried out commissioned research for the Government of Ghana, the World Bank, UNESCO, DFID, NIH among others. She has also partnered with several academic institutions in research including the Centre for Social Development and Well-Being, Department of Prevention and Community Health, Milken Institute School of Public Health of the George Washington University, DC (GWU), Gender and Sexuality Cluster and the Conflict, Violence and Development Research Cluster of the IDS, University of Sussex, and the Environmental Change Institution of Oxford University.  From this academic multidisciplinary background, Dr. Asante combines her professional expertise and experience in the design, leadership and administrative oversight of research in the social sciences, with the interpretation, analysis, dissemination and intervention advocacy of data arising from results of research.
